The Norddeutscher Regatta Verein wins the third race of the Bundesliga on the Hamburg Alster and leads the overall standings

In the third of five races in the first season of the new German Sailing League, the teams competed against each other in a match race. The team from the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein came out on top thanks to its experience. Helmsman Carsten Kemmling, Felix Oehme, Florian Weser and Leon Passlack achieved 15 victories in 17 races. They alternated between the J 70, J 22 and Laser Bahia.

Second place was secured by the Chiemsee Yacht Club (CYC) with the brothers Leopold and Moritz Fricke as well as Luitpold Müller and Florian Lautenschläger, tied on points with the previous leader of the table, the Yachtclub Berlin-Grünau (YCBG), with 13 points. The CYC won the direct comparison with the YCBG and thus took second place.

Stefan Meister, Eiko Powilleit, Gunnar Bahr and Daniel Frahm started for the YCBG.

In the overall ranking of the 18 participating clubs, the NRV and the YBG are in the lead with 50 points each, followed by the Bavarian Yacht Club and the Württemberg Yacht Club with 44 points each.

The next regatta will take place from 27 to 29 September 2013 on Lake Constance at the Württemberg Yacht Club.
